Who We Are
- GT ACM is the Georgia Tech chapter of the national Association for Computing Machinery
- An organization of motivated student leaders in computing, working with corporations large and small to bring opportunities to students.
- We partner with companies to reach and engage students through various events.
TechTalks
- Seminars led by members of industry to engage and inform students of real-world technological problems and what these corporations are doing to solve them.
- A great opportunity for companies to educate students about their technology and spark interest in recruiting.
TechTopics
- A new program that allows students to learn topics they wouldn’t normally have the opportunity to learn in academic classes.
- Instructed by knowledgeable students, volunteer professors, or sponsoring corporations.
- Allows companies to increase interest and knowledge about specific platforms or product areas.
Competitions
- We organize student competitions such as Yahoo’s Hack Week or our new Tweak Week that engage and reward students for ingenuity and skill.
- These events usually have significant prizes from sponsoring corporations which encourage students to put forth their best effort.
- A great opportunity for companies to find candidates for recruiting.
Social Events
- We also know how to have fun! Events like movie nights or cookouts encourage students to get involved and help spread corporate sponsor brand awareness.
- Companies can suggest and sponsor events, and can be very involved or allow us to handle the it entirely.
- Either way, the events are fun for students and rewarding for sponsors.
